Stainless Steel Orthodontic Archwire (Acti4S)

All Acti4S archwires are manufactured from 304VAR material. 304VAR is Vacuum Arc Remelted (VAR) stainless steel. This process yields a more uniform chemistry with minimal voids and contaminants. It reduces chances of brittleness. The Acti4S material properties help in getting true square or rectangular wire in cross section with minimum corner radii. The ease of joining Acti4S with solder or welding, combined with excellent strength makes it most desirable for orthodontic application. All archwires are tested for required tensile strength before and after the archwire forming process to ensure accurate tensile specifications. Ready Acti4S archwires are subjected to strict inspection requirements for torque and arch shape. Each wire has to be perfectly flat not only in front area but also in posterior sections.
