Polyester is a synthetic braided non absorbable sterile surgical suture made from Poly (Ethylene Terephthalate). Polyester sutures are coated with a thin layer of wax. The suture is available in a wide range of diameter – length combinations attached to high-quality medical grade stainless steel needles of different sizes and types. Polyester sterile surgical sutures are manufactured according to the requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia for sterile non absorbable sutures and with the essential requirements of the directive 93/42/EEC.
