ViewPort® process analytical technology (PAT) components are revolutionary ports that act as a sterile-safe interface between optical measurement systems, such as Raman spectrometers, and bioreactors. These interfaces allow bioprocess monitoring to be performed through hermetically sealed optical windows without compromising the sterile boundary. The technology enables non-invasive, continuous monitoring of pharmaceutical production processes using Raman spectroscopy. ViewPort® components reduce contamination risk, minimize parts requiring sterilization, allow optical instruments to be exchanged during running cultivation, and support sharing between bioreactors. The portfolio includes ports that can be incorporated into single-use bioreactor bags.
