Vaughnictis - Palatal Dentition Study

A scientific study describing the unusual palatal (roof of mouth) teeth of Vaughnictis, an early Permian eothyridid synapsid. The study details how Vaughnictis possessed a pronounced dentition on the palate with large, densely packed teeth that reached dimensions comparable to the marginal tooth row - an unusual feature among vertebrates.
