SCHOTT ROBAX® IR SuperMax heat-reflective coating

This coated fire-viewing panel reflects significantly more heat back into the combustion chamber than an uncoated ROBAX® panel to provide a comfortable room temperature and prevent overheating. The coating achieves an even higher reflection of heat radiation back into the combustion chamber compared to ROBAX® IR Max or an uncoated ROBAX® fire-viewing panel. Due to increased heating of the inside of the glass-ceramic panel, the surface is less subject to soot buildup, allowing for an unclouded, clear view of the fire and significantly reducing cleaning effort. The coating does not degrade over the entire life cycle of the fireplace when used according to recommendations. A reduction of emissions is possible, and the effect of a catalyst in the fireplace can be significantly improved.
