Passivation glass powders are manufactured in two steps: raw glass is melted in specially designed aggregates, then glass ribbons are ground into fine powders of different grain size distributions. Available in multiple formulations with combinations of zinc, lead, silicate, borate, and bismuth (lead-free). Customers process passivation glass powders for manufacturing sintered glass diodes using glass powder slurry and deionized water, or for wafer passivation through spinning, doctor blading, sedimentation, electrophoresis, or screen printing.
