Med Miles Instruments
Atrauma hemostatic forceps are surgical instruments utilized by the surgeon to occlude blood vessels in order to control hemostasis during cardiothoracic procedures and, thereby, prevent hemorrhagic events which can lead to hypovolemic shock; also, they can be used to compress other tubular structures to obstruct the flow of fluids. The main parts of an Atrauma hemostatic forceps are ring handles, a ratcheting lock mechanism and two horizontally serrated jaws.
