Dentin Desensitizer

Product indicated in the treatment of exposed dentin hypersensitivity (exposed roots, cervical areas, enamel erosions, lesions caused by brackets) and in desensitizing and protective treatment of vital tooth stumps to be rehabilitated with fixed prosthesis. The product consists of a suspension of nanohydroxyapatite in absolute alcohol. The hydroxyapatite (HA) processed according to an original Ghimas technique has structural, dimensional and biofunctional characteristics such as to replicate those of natural dentin. This biomimetic nanohydroxyapatite binds to the collagen fibrils present on the surface of dentin canaliculi, occluding them and consequently reducing or eliminating the pain stimulus. The 'active' nanohydroxyapatite, once it has occupied and occluded the open orifices of the dentin canaliculi, is resistant to acid attacks in the oral cavity and, when applied to stumps, penetrates the dentin, protecting it, without creating thicknesses harmful to the positioning of the prosthetic part.
