The EMS Biofilm Discloser is used to make oral biofilm visible for removal as the second step in the Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) protocol. The disclosing agent comes in a plastic bottle containing 250 preloaded pellets, each ready to use. It uses erythrosin, a two-tone disclosing dye that differentiates between mature biofilm (more than 3 days old) and fresh biofilm (less than 3 days old). This visualization prevents over-instrumentation and helps clinicians identify neglected areas while motivating patients to improve home prevention through oral hygiene instructions.
