At its core, the scanner is based on the proven and successful Primescan technology, known for excellent scanning results. Externally, Primescan 2 presents a completely new hardware design - wireless, with a smaller sleeve and well-balanced. The greatest innovation in Primescan 2 is cloud scanning: The scan data is captured and processed directly on the Sirona Cloud platform DS Core. Any internet-connected device in the practice can be used to operate the scanner - the treatment PC, any laptop or tablet. Thanks to the cloud application, no local software needs to be installed, maintained and updated.* Since the scanner is wireless and can be used with any computer, it is highly mobile and can be easily passed on within the practice team. This brings more flexibility and versatility to the workflows in the practice. It also has two modes (fluorescence and near-infrared) to support caries detection. Primescan 2 is a great solution that supports both new and experienced intraoral scanner users in providing excellent patient care. After the scan is completed, only a few clicks on DS Core are required to use the scan for all important indications - restorations, implantology, aligners, dentures, splints and more.
