SCHOTT CERAN®

CERAN® is a glass-ceramic material designed for cooktops that has been a value-add in kitchens for many decades. Based on a low CTE (coefficient of thermal expansion), the material has high resistance to temperature differences and thermal shock. It combines impact resistance with a strong aesthetic look, resulting in a tough glass-ceramic that lasts a lifetime. CERAN® products are made chiefly from natural substances such as quartz sand, making them harmless to food and suitable for recommended glass-ceramic cleaning products. The material can withstand sudden temperature shocks of up to 700°C and maintains stable, reliable high-quality performance in both home and professional kitchen settings. It features exceptional surface resistance to impact and is chemically resistant and compatible with many detergents for easy cleaning.
