SCHOTT laser diffuser technology for light-based therapies to improve patient health. High-precision glass-based diffusers deliver uniform laser light for minimally invasive surgery and the treatment of skin and gum conditions, while supporting cancer treatment. Advanced and precise light-based therapies require highly homogenous light output with industry-leading performance levels, offering excellent radiation homogeneity and optical efficiency of more than 80%. SCHOTT® Luminous Diffusers are available in several distinct geometries, each geared towards different applications. Cylindrical fiber diffusers suit the requirements of photodynamic and photoimmuno therapy, while spherical diffusers are widely used in laser-induced thermal therapies. Development of the proprietary glass-based material resulted from 130 years of experience in glass processing and deep knowledge of the transport of light through glass, resulting in highly durable components in a variety of wavelength ranges.
