B 270® is a borosilicate glass product designed as a versatile all-rounder used for decades across multiple industries. It provides high optical transmission of up to 92% at 2 mm thickness across the 400–1100 nm spectral range, making it suitable for applications including night vision systems, indoor farming LED lighting, optical filters, digital projection systems, life sciences and biotech diagnostics, and reference samples for coatings. The material offers excellent scratch and impact resistance, proven weatherability, homogenous transmittance, low intrinsic autofluorescence, and a fire-polished surface ideal for various coatings and optical component manufacturing.
