This osteotome has a diameter of 2.7 mm at the tip, which tapers down to 3.2 mm and then continues cylindrically at this diameter. The cone makes it easier to insert the instrument into the pilot hole and enables more precise work on the tip, which is used to lift the bone flap during the internal sinus lift. There is also a graduation on the cylindrical part to show how far the instrument has already penetrated into the sinus cavity. The instrument is straight and has a convex tip.
