AMOA3D – Adaptive Multimaterial Orthodontic Aligners via Dual-Wavelength 3D Printing

Danube Private University GmbH

An FFG-funded research project at DPU aimed at developing new biocompatible and recyclable materials for 3D-printed dental correction aligners (Aligner). The project employs dual-wavelength stereolithography to create individually customized aligners that are more durable, sustainable, and cost-efficient. The technology uses two different wavelengths to precisely harden specialized materials, improving material efficiency and access to high-quality, personalized orthodontics. The project is coordinated by Montanuniversität Leoben in collaboration with DPU, Luxinergy GmbH, and Polymer Competence Center Leoben (PCCL).
